Today I have Colors by Llarowe Independence Day to show you. It was recently released in their Summer 2014 collection. It's described as having a "deep royal blue jelly base with holographic micro glitters."
Unfortunately, I was kind of underwhelmed by this polish. From the swatch photos that I saw, I thought that it would have a glowy, gorgeous holo à la CbL's The Mighty Red Baron. The micro glitter in Independence Day reminds me of Picture Polish's Mesh shades, which I wasn't really a fan of. Shown is two coats with one coat of top coat.
Unfulfilled expectations notwithstanding, Independence Day is still a pretty polish in it's own right. In indirect light, the holo micro glitters lend a pretty holo glow that I caught myself being distracted by quite a few times.
Are you a fan of micro glitter style holos? Let me know in the comments!
